All biodegradable seaweed dry film project settled in Rizhao Economic and Technological Development

On August 30,Rizhao Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a cooperationagreement with Shandong sea related Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and theproject of fully biodegradable seaweed dry film was settled in our area. Zhangtangxiu, member of the District Working Committee and deputy director of themanagement committee, signed a contract with Yang Yongcai, chairman of Shandongsea related Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

The whole biodegradable seaweed dry filmproject is the original technical achievement of Professor Xu Jiachao,Professor of algal chemistry and applied research, Ocean University of China.The technology won the silver prize of the 2018 Internet plus innovation andentrepreneurship competition, and the Shandong Internet plus innovation andEntrepreneurship Competition Gold Award and Best Creative Award. Theindustrialization project of seaweed Enteromorpha prolifera dry mulching filmis rich in raw materials and international leading technology. It caneffectively replace plastic mulching film and solve the problem of "whitepollution" of the world land. It is a good project that benefits thecountry and the people and benefits future generations. On August 8, 2019, theproject was listed in the key R & D plan (major scientific andtechnological innovation projects) project library of Shandong Province.

The project is divided intotwo phases. In the first phase, 30 production lines (equipment) of fully biodegradableseaweed dry mulching film and supporting sewage treatment facilities will beset up; in the second phase, 70 production lines will be added. The totalinvestment is about 150 million yuan.
